No, no, no I am not pregnant, we got a puppy!
These pictures are from the day we went and picked which puppy we wanted. (we had first choice on the 4 females)
This one stole our heart. She is 6 weeks here. We didn't bring her home until she was 8 weeks.
Here she is at 8 weeks and we named her Luna...not to be confused with Lola, or Lula aahhhhhh! I am still threatening to change her name.
Colt quickly fell in love with our new puppy. He loved her even more than we would have thought. (now only if we can get her passed the nipping stage, I think he will love her again)
Now Peach on the other hand, has never been, and probably won't ever be, very fond of her new furry sister.
"Who is this filthy mutt you brought home, and when is she leaving?!!!" Peach reminds me of Sassy, the cat, from Homeward Bound.
Look at her with her paw up. She is such a diva princess!
The kids are just hangin' out with the new pup.
When Luna is tired during the day, or we can't watch her, we put her in this exercise pen. Colt wanted to go in there and relax too. Right on!
Did you notice that his shorts are on backwards? He is very into going potty and doing everything on his own, and it is hard to remember which way the undies and shorts go!
Being a puppy is hard work (for the puppy and the human!) so she would pass out in an instant. Colt was always by her side.
She even fell asleep on his scooter!
Here her ears are starting to stand up.
Colt went zooming down the slide and Luna wanted a turn too!
But he wasn't so sure about sharing his pool.
She has already been stung by a bee (so we think, or bit something) and her face swelled up and she had a visit to the vet. What a curious little puppy. Have you seen Harry Potter? You know Looney Luna (Luna Lovegood), well that's is Luna's nickname too, with good cause!
I am sure there will be many, many more adventures of Luna and Colt and soon Lola too. Stay tuned.
