This is how we all felt before we even entered the park.
Oh yeah, we are suppose to be happy at Disneyland...SMILE!!!
So, yes Colt had been cranky for a couple of days prior to the Disneyland day, but NOTHING like this day....this day takes the cake. He is lucky he is so cute! From the moment we took him out of his car seat he was "eeehhhhhhh" ing this and "eeeeehhhhhh" ing that, hence the reason he has his shovel in his hand. He saw the beach toys in our trunk and FREAKED OUT and had to have the shovel....I am pretty sure this is when John and I both looked at each other and said, "Awesome." And, "This is going to be fun."
Well we ended out having a great time! We hung out in Toon Town pretty much the whole day, and made the best out of the situation.
The boys cruised in the car for a bit.
We went on a wild car ride. It kept Colt entertained, he was probably wondering what in the heck was going on (it was dark with glow in the dark things that would pop out and the car was spinning), but at least he was content.
He desperately wanted to go in these big red doors.
Hey look at the smile that we squeaked out of him!
He was *really* interested in the walls, every trashcan that we passed, the little leaves on the ground...pretty much everything that shouldn't interest him at Disneyland...Funny, funny, kid
We toured Mickey Mouse's house!
Of course the guys had to check out Mickey's garage and tools.
(And don't you worry, we still have shovel around to lead the way)
Colt and I in front of the castle. Somehow we managed to make it look like there were only a few people there. Do not let this picture fool you, there were hundreds of people in that 20 ft. x 20 ft. vicinity.
In the end we had a great time. BUT we did have a little bit of this in between the good times...
Yes, you will take a picture with Goofy.
Yes, I will smile and pretend my child isn't screaming.
Colt: "Get your hand off of me Goofy!"
Just don't even ask...explosion of the food.
But these moments were simply cured with THE SUCKER...remember the extra sucker that we got from our Downtown Disney trip?
I saw these Mickey Mouse kitchen utensils and ALMOST broke down and bought one for Colt, because he LOVES using all of my stuff, but I didn't...Maybe next time.
Minnie's adorable Christmas tree. I really could have just moved right into her house...LOVED IT!
And what is a Disneyland trip without a picture of some Minnie gear?
LAST BUT NOT LEAST......
We officially met the REAL Mickey Mouse!!! Don't let Colt's lack of smile fool you, he actually was in the best mood yet during the 20 minute wait to get this gem of a picture. We were so anxious to see what Colt would do when he met him, but there were lots of people and it was towards the end of the day, so he seemed more confused/shy/tired, than anything. BUT at least I have this picture so he can re-live the moment.
Disneyland ended out being a success, and maybe it wasn't the HAPPIEST place on earth the entire time, but it left us in a good place and in a good mood, so we will let that phrase live on.
"THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH"

Disneyland at Christmastime is the best! And I totally agree, not many moments can't be cure with a sucker. you look gorgeous!
